  1. I would like some more information on the Robotics team. Is there an age limit ? How do you qualify ? Is this throught the KC school district ?

Allison, any 6th through 12th grade student in Kershaw County can join, including students in private schools and home schools. There are no other requirements to join, but a student must maintain passing grades and have no discipline issues to stay in the team. We are not part of the school district, but work closely with it because most of the students are part of it. Let me know if you have any questions!

How does a student go about joining the KC Robotics team? My son is very interested.

Hi Sonya! Thank you for your interest in our robotics team! Any student in 6th through 12th grade living in Kershaw County may participate. All he’ll have to do is come to one of the team meetings in the Lugoff Elgin HS annex building which will resume once school starts. If you’d like to join the mailing list to receive information about upcoming events, please email to sign up or keep checking this website.
